Hello,
I’m trying to create a diffuse Ambient Occlusion/Dirtmap texture using Max8 and Vray. It is for one single object (statue). What is the best way to go about this? I have been experimenting, but I’ve ran into a problem:
The “Render to Texture” seems to be “Viewport Dependant” – so the front of my texture looks ok, but the back is all in shadow. Is it possible to “Render to Texture” with out the shadows being dependant on the viewport? – So that the object comes out with a nice even lighting/shadows effect from all sides? – Do I have to setup special lighting to make this happen?
What is the preferred lighting, render and material settings to achieve an Ambient Occlusion effect?
Thank you much for any info and help
